Location
Sotobori 1st basement in Yaesu Shopping Mall at the JR Tokyo station HP:
九谷焼 いわたや

This is a porcelain Kutani made in the Kutani area. It uses Ishikawa which is a traditional Japanese technique featuring detailed patterns and gold color. I think this merchandise is sold in a unique way. They want Kutani to be more known to people who come from all over the world. Would you like to check the HP out? I’m sure you will be astonished by the beautiful design!

■ Fresh 100% Orange juice: Feed Me Orange

One serving of orange juice contains three or four oranges. It can make juice in 40seconds! You can get a fresh 100% orange juice for 500yen on the spot.

You can enjoy watching how they make juice through the window display.

■ The green tea

Location
882-1 Yasaka, Kakegawa, Shizuoka 436-004

It looks like cigarettes but it’s not. It is Chabacco (a word mix of “Ocha” and “Tabacco”) green tea. (Ocha means tea)

Other things

This is not vending machine, it is called Gachagacha.

The Gachagacha is very unique but is common in Japan.

When I was a kid, we could get things from Gachagacha for as little as 100 yen! Nowadays it needs more coins but also the quality is improving.

They sell various small figures and other things. For instance, anime, sushi, house, stationary, vegetable, car, and so on.

You insert some coins and turn a bar and things in a small capsule come out. Each box has its own category but you don’t know which things in a category you can get until it comes out of the machine.
